Why Page Street Is Becoming a Coaching Collective

We’re building a system where coaches — and athletes — can actually thrive.

Hey friends - Happy Friday.

This weekend marks one year since I incorporated Page Street Performance. Yay!

But what started as a solo coaching brand — just me offering 1:1 training and nutrition coaching — is now evolving into something much bigger.

From Solo Brand to Coaching Collective: Why I’m Shifting Page Street

Over the past year, I’ve worked with hundreds of athletes and dozens of coaches.

And what I’ve consistently seen on the coaching side — over and over — was burnout.

Coaches doing the real work, showing up for athletes, but struggling to make this career sustainable.

Meanwhile, I was building the backend, the brand, the systems for myself — and I realized: I could help others do the same. We could grow together.

So I’m shifting Page Street into a coaching collective.

It’s a digital-first platform that supports coaches in building real businesses — with creative support, business infrastructure, brand development, and most importantly, community.

The Page Street newsletter isn’t going anywhere — in fact, it’s about to get better.

You’ll still receive high-quality, science-backed training and nutrition insights.

But you’ll also start hearing from other coaches: sharing their experiences, their clients’ stories, and their take on what it means to train with purpose.

Feel free to reply if you have questions, thoughts, or want to be part of it <3

📍 Introducing an Events Page for IRL Meetup

In the interest of opening things up, I just published an events page (you can find here). It’s a simple hub where you can find and join in on things we’re doing in real life.

You’ll find:

  • Wednesday Run Club, 530pm @ Kezar, May 14th (repeats biweekly)

  • Casual Coffee + Bike Ride, 930AM @ Gaptooth in Lower Haight, May 18th

  • Plus upcoming fueling and nutrition workshops, and a cooking class because I love to cook!

For now, most of these events are in San Francisco, California.

But in the coming months, we’ll be doing some events in Europe, and later in the year in South America.

Be sure to follow along and, of course, let me know if you have any events you want us to join in on!

Movement of the Week: Romanian Deadlift (RDL)

A posterior chain staple — especially for runners.

I’ve been getting back into running lately. I used to run a lot back when I was doing triathlons years ago, and it’s been great to reconnect with that part of my training.

One of the best ways to improve running performance — especially if you’re coming back to it — is by building strength through the posterior chain: hamstrings, glutes, and calves.

That’s where today’s movement comes in.

Unlike a traditional deadlift, the RDL emphasizes controlled lowering and sustained tension through the glutes and hamstrings. It’s a clean hip hinge that helps build strength and resilience where runners need it most — especially under fatigue.

Check out Marcus Filly explaining in this video below.

And, as always, if you have questions, reply here and I’ll help ya out.

That’s it for this week. Wishing you all a peaceful and restorative weekend.

And stay tuned — over the next few weeks, I’ll be opening up Page Street to new coaches and sharing more about what we’re building together.

Talk soon,

Ivan
